Q: When does IKEA Open?

A: IKEA will open on Thursday, 4 December 2025 

Q: Where is IKEA from Sylvia Park? 

A: IKEA is to the east of Sylvia Park. You can get to IKEA from the covered walkway located in Carpark 1. The walkway will be opened for 4 Dec. If you are in the centre, you will be able to get to IKEA from the walkway in the centre located on level one, in between Merric and Strandbags.

Q: Can I shop at Sylvia Park and IKEA?

A: Yes you can.  The best place to park if you’re only visiting IKEA is at IKEA. If you’re also planning to visit Sylvia Park, Carpark 1 is best. You can also park in Carpark 2, it  is a very short walk to the walkway/lift. 

Q: Can I get to IKEA via public transport? 

A: Yes. There is a train station and bus stop located at Sylvia Park. 

Bus:

• If arriving by bus via Sylvia Park shopping centre: you will enter the centre, turn right, and take the escalator near Glasson’s to Level 1. There will be signs showing the way to the covered walkway towards IKEA.
• If arriving by bus via Carbine Road: you will alight at Arthur Brown Place, walk up Te Ahoterangi Rise toward the shopping centre (approx. 100 m).

Train: 

• Via the Eastern Line train, you will enter Sylvia Park shopping centre, turn left, then take the escalator near Glassons to Level 1. There will be signs showing the way to the covered walkway towards IKEA.
• Or, you’ll walk south along Te Kehu Way, use the ramp or pedestrian crossing and lift to Level 1, then cross the footbridge to IKEA.

Q: Will IKEA be doing deliveries?

A: Yes. Customers can shop at IKEA Sylvia Park and take home their products with them immediately on the day.
Alternatively, orders can be placed via the IKEA website or app, by phone or online with the help of an IKEA specialist, or in-store at Sylvia Park. Customers then choose one of three options to receive their IKEA order:

1. Click & Collect, located in the carpark at IKEA Sylvia Park with specific time and day pick-up slots to select. Click & Collect lockers will be available 24/7.
2. Pick Up Point collection from one of 29 locations around the country.
3. Home delivery with convenient options for customers to choose either delivery to the door or carried inside their home right to the room they need.
