Work has taken us through Italy most summers. Long days. Fast travel. Tight schedules. But every trip I try to steal some moments by the water. That’s where I breathe again. The Mediterranean has a way of slowing you down. The light. The food. The history. And that impossible blue.

It was there I first noticed Vilebrequin. A French brand born in Saint-Tropez. Bold colours. Playful prints. A feeling of holiday, even on the busiest days. I bought a few pairs over the years. Expensive, yes. But they lasted. They carried stories with them.

Then, on a recent buying trip, I found something unexpected. A Milan-raised maker. Working with an Italian design team - creating art for fabric. Shorts with honest craftsmanship. Quick-dry stretch.
